Este jardín de infancia está ubicado en uno de los suburbios satélite de clase alta de Tel-Aviv. La voluntad de integrar a los niños en un entorno físico adecuado con los principios educativos que son la base de sus actividades, ha inspirado el proyecto.

This unique Kindergarten, located in one of Tel-Aviv’s upscale satellite suburbs, was created from the desire to integrate suitable children’s physical surroundings with the educational principals that are at the foundation of its activities.

Este jardín de infancia está ubicado en uno de los suburbios satélite de clase alta de Tel-Aviv. La voluntad de integrar a los niños en un entorno físico adecuado con los principios educativos que son la base de sus actividades, ha inspirado el proyecto.
Los arquitectos Lillach Lev & Elan Gargir han concebido unos espacios interiores bien iluminados, con buenas conexiones exteriores, en los que también se ha tenido en cuenta la seguridad, permitiendo una protección ocular continua por parte del personal hacia la niños. Estos espacios son también flexibles, y se adaptan a las dinámicas actividades de un jardín de infancia.
El reto era crear un prototipo de escuela infantil que enriquezca y mejore los ejemplos poco imaginativos y pobres que proliferan.

El diseño ha sido inspirado por los principios de la Bauhaus. Sus formas son simples y limpias, y los materiales escogidos para los acabados, (como la cal o los ladrillos blancos), así como los grandes ventanales, aportan serenidad al proyecto.
Un espacioso hall de entrada multiusos se sitúa en el centro del edificio. Esta zona se usa diariamente como lugar de reunión, música y lectura. Existe también una biblioteca, diseñada (al igual que el resto del mobiliario) por Shani-Hai. Durante las vacaciones y en ocasiones especiales, este vestíbulo se abre y se expande bajo la cubierta de entrada hacia el jardín delantero con el fin de albergar a nuevos visitantes. Alrededor de la sala principal se localiza también un espacio creativo, un divertido Gymboree, y la oficina administrativa. La naturaleza, el mar, el transporte y los palacios son los temas de cuatro aulas temáticas. Cada clase está diseñada para un grupo de edad específico con el fin de propiciar y estimular la creatividad, así como la realización de divertidas actividades.
El área exterior se divide en pequeños espacios, vallados y seguros, provistos de las instalaciones necesarias para un juego imaginativo, incluyendo un castillo mágico de madera, cajas de arena, coches de madera…

This unique Kindergarten, located in one of Tel-Aviv’s upscale satellite suburbs, was created from the desire to integrate suitable children’s physical surroundings with the educational principals that are at the foundation of its activities. Of ultimate importance are respect and equality for the children, opportunities to experience various activities while creating and playing in intimate spaces, combined with the joy of striving for genuine, old-fashioned childhood fun.
In the design process, the architects Lillach Lev & Elan Gargir of “Lev-Gargir Architects”, conceived well lit rooms, good interior-exterior connections, and a vision of a safe and protective environment providing continuous eye-contact between the staff and the children. Spaces were required to be flexible, conforming to the ever dynamic needs of daily kindergarten activities.
The challenge was to create a prototype for kindergarten design that would enrich and enhance the usual, standard, unimaginative program generally built, which would lead to a design based concept.
This design was inspired by Bauhaus principals in both floor plans and elevations.
There are simple and clean forms with long and open views throughout the project. Horizontal and minimalist lines insure that “center stage” is left to the kids, animated with colors, sounds and motion.
Finishing materials such as white plaster, exposed white masonry bricks and large windows complete the serenity of the design.

A spacious multi-purpose foyer is at the center of the structure. This area is used daily as a gathering place, for dining, music and reading. There is also a library, designed by Ms. Shani-Hai, with the same unique lines as the rest of the furniture throughout the rooms. During holidays and special occasions the foyer opens and expands on to the entrance deck and front lawn in order to accommodate added guests. Surrounding the main hall are a creative space, a fun-packed Gymboree, and the administrative office. Nature, Sea, Transportation and Palaces are the subjects of four themed classrooms. Each room is designed for a specific age group encouraging and stimulating creative, fun-filled activities all day long.
Exterior landscaping was designed with the same lead concept. The area is divided into smaller spaces, fenced and secure, packed with imaginative play installations including a magical wood castle, sand-boxes, wooden cars and many other environments stimulating the imagination.
All done with love and true longing to simple, naïve childhood memories.
