El barrio de Corso Lazio, en la ciudad de Frosinone, Italia, ha podido finalmente disfrutar de su primer espacio público, esperado desde hace 35 años. Sensational Garden representa el punto de partida de un gran plan de ordenación para renovar e integrar los espacios públicos y los servicios en esta área residencial. Esta falta de equipamientos ha generado una degradación absoluta de toda la zona, que se ha convertido en un insostenible barrio dormitorio. Por esta razón, el proyecto del Sensational Garden amplifica la idea de un espacio relacional que llena el vacío social con una explosiva, lúdica, íntima, sensorial e interactiva sala de estar personal ubicada en un ámbito público. El jardín presenta una constante tensión entre los elementos artificiales y naturales.

The neighbourhood of Corso Lazio, in the city Of Frosinone, Italy, finally could enjoy its first public space, expected to be ready 35 years ago. Sensational Garden represents the starting point of a big master-plan to renew and integrate the public spaces and the services to the housing neighbourhood. This lack of public spaces generate an absolute degrade of the entire area, and the neighbourhood has become an unsustainable dormitory. For this reason the project for the sensational garden amplify the idea of a relational space filling the social void with an explosive, playfull, sensorial and interactive intimate room, like a personal living room in a public realm. The garden is constantly in tension between artificial and natural elements.

El barrio de Corso Lazio, en la ciudad de Frosinone, Italia, ha podido finalmente disfrutar de su primer espacio público, esperado desde hace 35 años. 

Sensational Garden representa el punto de partida de un gran plan de ordenación para renovar e integrar los espacios públicos y los servicios en esta área residencial. Esta falta de equipamientos ha generado una degradación absoluta de toda la zona, que se ha convertido en un insostenible barrio dormitorio. Por esta razón, el proyecto del Sensational Garden amplifica la idea de un espacio relacional que llena el vacío social con una explosiva, lúdica, íntima, sensorial e interactiva sala de estar personal ubicada en un ámbito público.

El jardín presenta una constante tensión entre los elementos artificiales y naturales.

Se trata de un parque en el que los usuarios y los ciudadanos pueden disfrutar, amar, conocer a otras personas y sentirse de nuevo a gusto en el vecindario, renovando la sostenibilidad social de esta parte de la ciudad. 

El objetivo del proyecto es invitar a los usuarios a seguir un camino en el que la escena cambia constantemente.

De esta manera tendrán la sensación de descubrir espacios diferentes, pero siempre con el mismo carácter. El tema principal del proyecto son los cinco sentidos del ser humano, y los materiales y la vegetación están relacionados con este tema. Se ha pretendido que el usuario no tenga una visión total del parque, sino que ésta se vaya componiendo de una serie de experiencias diferentes. El diseño juega con los cambios de alturas y de inclinaciones de una manera lúdica.

El proyecto utiliza los sentidos como una gran metáfora. Los humanos usamos los sentidos para relacionamos con el entorno y con otras personas. 

Cada área es una metáfora de uno de los cinco sentidos del ser humano y se busca la continua interacción del visitante con el espacio. El camino se ha pensado para que los diferentes ámbitos vayan descubriéndose sucesivamente, con el fin de inducir y alentar a continuar la experiencia. 

Cinco grandes dispositivos contienen la esencia y la poesía de la metáfora, y el camino es el vínculo entre ellos. 

El olfato se siente atraído por las esencias; el oído por los mecanismos para jugar dispuestos que amplifican el sonido; la vista por el hermoso jardín de rosas y el colorido del material utilizado para realizar el cono central; y el sabor es estimulado por los árboles frutales.

La equilibrada mezcla de esencias naturales (árboles, arbustos y flores) y los elementos artificiales (cemento y resina) hacen que el jardín sea fácil de mantener, al mismo tiempo que duradero y cambiante en el tiempo.

A garden in which users and citizens could find the joy of live, love and know each others again and make their selves comfortable with the entire neighbourhood renewing the social sustainability of this site of the city. 

The Goal Of the project is to invite users to a path in which scene are always changing. 

You will have the sensation to discover always different spaces but with the same kind of characteristics. The five human senses are the main theme of the space; the material and the vegetation will be related to them.The user will not have an entire look over the park, but he will do a series of different experiences. The variation of high and inclination, dimensional games is some of the ludic peculiarity of the Park. 

We use the senses as a big metaphor. We use senses to relate ourselves with surroundings and other people. 

Each area is a metaphor of one of the five human senses and you are constantly called to put yourself in relation with the space. The path is a discovery, and it was designed to leave the spaces be revealed to a visitor little by little, so to induce and encourage to continue the experience. 

Five Big Devices contain the essence and the poetry of the metaphor. And a path is the link between them. 

The smell is attracted by the support of the essences, the hearing from the game sound amplification, the view from the beautiful rose garden, and you can feel the materials of the central cone, the taste is stimulated by fruit trees in the largest support. 

The balanced blend of natural essences (trees, shrubs and flowers) and the artificial elements (cement and resin) make the garden easy to maintain at the same time durable and mutable during the time.
