El diseño de este edificio está inspirado en las células del organismo. De esta manera el espacio de la guardería se sitúa en el centro de la disposición como si fuera el núcleo, rodeado de jardines que emulan el citoplasma, y un muro que circunscribe el conjunto como si fuera la membrana.
Un patio de juegos al aire libre se genera a través de un muro continuo curvilíneo que da forma a los límites de la construcción.
La “entrada vaginal” se caracteriza por una bóveda de hormigón que es una continuación de la pared periférica. Flotando dentro de su membrana, la guardería acoge a los visitantes en un espacio circular en el centro del edificio, iluminado por un patio cubierto. Las aulas de los niños rodean radialmente esta sala central.
Este concepto de espacio central centrípeto evita la existencia de pasillos. De esta manera, al igual que las hélices de un ventilador, las aulas se orientan hacia el sur y se abren a su propia zona de juegos. Las líneas curvas de las paredes y de los techos subrayan las ideas de orgánico y uterino, proporcionando seguridad y confort dentro del edificio tanto a los niños como a los padres.
El concepto de doble escala también se ha trabajado en este proyecto: las salas de juego tienen una altura libre de 2,10 metros con el fin de crear un ambiente más agradable para los bebés y los niños. Este efecto se enfatiza disponiendo otras áreas con alturas de hasta 4,20 metros, obteniéndose una amplia gama de espacios y volúmenes, que contribuyen a percibir las aulas como espacios más protectores. La zona de circulación y las clases se iluminan cenitalmente, produciéndose el contraste entre los espacios con techos bajos moderadamente iluminados y los que generosamente reciben la luz del día. La geometría basada en curvas que genera el proyecto contribuye a que la transición entre las diferentes alturas de techo se realice sin problemas, creándose variados efectos de reflexión de la luz.

The project is designed as a body cell, placing the nursery at the center of the layout as the nucleus, surrounding gardens as the cytoplasm, and a circumscribing enclosing wall as the membrane.
A large outdoor playground is generated through a continuous curvilinear wall that shapes out the boundaries of the facility.
The ‘‘vaginal’’ entrance is characterized by a concrete vault which is a continuation of the peripheral wall. Floating within its membrane, the nursery welcomes visitors into a round space at the center of the building, enlightened by a covered patio. All the children units radiate outwards from this central room.
This concept of transitional space and centripetal walkway avoids all effect of corridor and all effect of start or end of movement. Thus, the playrooms spread out like a hand-held fan ideally oriented to the south where each one leads to its own playground. The curved lines of walls and ceilings underline the organic and uterin concept which provides safety and comfort within the building for children as for parents.
Double scaling: The ceiling height in the surrounding playrooms is 2,10 meters-high to create a comfortable environment for the babies and children. Thus, to give a stronger spotlight on this idea, we combined it with a variation of ceilings heights up to 4,20 meters, creating a large range of spaces and volumes. Thanks to this contrast effect, the units with low ceilings are perceived as protective recesses. The circulation space and the children units are lighted up by zenithal openings, creating the contrast between spaces with low ceiling that are moderately lightened and spaces that generously receive the day light. The transition between different ceiling heights is smoothly done by the curves, generating a various reflection of light on the ceilings.
